Mozzarella Fresca Celebrates 10 Years of the American Dream

San Francisco, December 15, 2005 – Mozzarella Fresca, the nation’s premier producer of fresh Italian cheeses, is proudly celebrating its 10th anniversary.  In late 1995, suffering from quality and financial problems, a very troubled cheese producer was purchased by best friends, Andrew Branagh and David Wignall.  Following a restructuring of the management team with a singular focus on quality, Mozzarella Fresca was reborn.

The “new” Mozzarella Fresca relentlessly pursued producing the highest quality, gourmet cheeses available.  A decade later, Mozzarella Fresca has grown nearly 5,000% to become a market leader in sales, quality and product innovation. 

During this decade of growth, Mozzarella Fresca has continued to focus on producing superior quality cheeses.  This year, these efforts were rewarded with decisive wins in the 2005 US Cheese Championships and 2005 American Cheese Society Awards including three Best in Class awards and numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.  However, the year’s crowning glory was being selected 2005 Business of the Year and receiving the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, Business of the Year.
