JOB TITLE: QA/QC Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of QA/QC

SUMMARY:  The QA/QC Manager is responsible for monitoring the day to day activities involved with
product quality and compliance to GMP’s HACCP, and USDA guidelines. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
1.  Ability to write and conduct annual reviews of SOP, SSOP and company policies
2.  Ability to do company audits and conduct third party audits with the assistance of Director of QA/QC.
3.  Ability to maintain and advise revisions to a complete quality program.
4.  Ability to develop and train all Mozzarella Fresca staff on GMP’s, safety, company policies and HACCP.
5.  Ability to effectively and regularly communicate with the Director of QA/QC and other operations group managers.
6.  Ability to work within budget restraints and create budget requirements.
7.  Able to identify process improvement opportunities focused on efficiencies and
standardization within the quality assurance/quality control arena.
8.  Able to work with an understanding of urgency and priorities within a fast paced QA/QC environment.
9.  Holds regular group meetings with lab technicians to discuss working environments and goals.
10. Other duties and projects as required to support the profitable growth of Mozzarella Fresca

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Food Science and Nutrition or equivalent plus
a minimum of 3-5 years in QA/QC supervisory experience; demonstrated ability to interpret
raw data and transform into graphical representations; excellent organizational and
communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of management; demonstrated
ability in Word, Excel and familiarity with Access and PowerPoint a plus.
